A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING (LOU) SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN NATIONAL EDUCATION FOUNDATION ,SIGHTSAVERS AND PAKISTAN INSTITUTE OF REHABILITATION SCIENCES

The National Education Foundation (NEF), Sightsavers, and the Pakistan Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences (PIRS) have joined hands for a five-year School Health Integrated Programme for children enrolled in NEF's non-formal schools.

With 7,000+ children to be screened for vision, hearing, and physical health conditions, the programme goes beyond screening linking children to spectacles, assistive devices, referrals, rehabilitation support, teacher training, and awareness. The partnership reflects a shared belief that keeping children in school is not only about access to education, but also about ensuring they are healthy, supported, included, and able to learn.

NEF extends a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training; Ms. Syeda Munazza Gillani, Director Pakistan & Middle East, Sightsavers; and Major General (R) Dr. Farrukh Seir, Executive Director, PIRS, for their leadership, presence, and commitment to making this collaboration possible.
